Phantom Hands x+l Table Lamp
The x+l Table Lamp is part of a collection of objects designed by Amsterdam based design duo, Xander Vervoort and Leon van Boxtel, x+l, from an inspiration to recycle small blocks of wood that are produced as residual waste in Phantom Hands' furniture production process. The wooden base of the lamp is made with these upcycled teak blocks. Each block is shaped, curved and polished by hand prior to assembly, making it a labor and skill intensive process. The lampshade is crafted with an exterior of hand-spun raw silk and an inner lining of cotton for ideal light diffusion.
