"A Matter of Age" Oil on Panel by Braldt Bralds, 2006


"A Matter of Age"  is a classic example of the work of Braldt Bralds, an commercial illustrator and oil painter born in the Netherlands and currently working in Santa Fe.  This still life example is done in oil on panel and depicts an aged bottle, a bowl and a stone.  The dimensions are 23 inches x 23 inches, including the frame.


Bralds is an internationally recognized illustrator.  His work appeared on covers of Time, Newsweek, Der Spiegel, Atlantic Monthly, PLayboy, National Geographic and Rolling Stone.  In the late 1990s. he turned his efforts toward oil painting.  He has created an impressive portfolio of natural subjects in his particularly engaging contemporary realism style.
